How to Make Web 2.0 Backlinks for Free

How to build Web 2.0 BacklinksI am going to show you how to make Web 2.0 backlinks. It is a super easy and quick way to rank low competition keywords.

The ranking strategy at a glance:

Step 1: Run a social promotion campaign.

Step 2: In the first week build 5 Weebly and 5 Tumblr web 2.0 backlinks.

Step 3: Record a YouTube video (to post on new web 2.0 platforms).

Step 4: Wait a week for links to index.

Step 5: In week 3 do a 10 site two-tier web 2.0 link wheel.

Step 6: In week 4 do 5 doc share backlinks.

Step 7: In week 5 do 15 high PA Tumblr backlinks.

Step 8: Rank tracking and wait for the links to index. As the backlinks index, your website will climb the search engines for your selected keyword.

To prove how well it works I am going to rank this page using Web 2.0 backlinks.

If you don’t want to complete it yourself, you can buy the whole web 2.0 backlinks strategy in our store. It includes every part of the process listed below.

To find out my complete ranking strategy go to my do it yourself SEO guide.

If you really want to know how to make a passive income online you should check out Online Dimes.

I owe this strategy to Franklin (Online Dimes), it was his site that set me off to ranking success.

Today I am going to show you how to:

  • Find easy to rank keywords
  • How to create content that will rank
  • How to make Web 2.0s to rank number 1
  • How to index your backlinks

You can simply sign up for Web 2.0 sites for free, add some content with a backlink and you are good to go.

The only problem with this method is new Web 2.0 sites do not have any Page Authority or existing backlinks.

The fastest way to rank is to use expired Web 2.0 sites that already have page authority and backlinks.

You can find these yourself for free using G Scraper. This takes time, and you need to know a little about what you are doing. Not to mention the G Scraper learning curve.

The Web 2.0 Ranking StrategyThe quickest way to get things done is to buy expired high page authority Web 2.0 sites.

You can buy expired Web 2.0 sites using the links below. You can get 7 high page authority Tumblr blogs for just $1.

While you wait for your order to be delivered you can be getting on with writing your content for them.

In the Web 2.0 packages, you will get at least 7 expired Web 2.0s with high page authority and existing backlinks.

People will scrape and deliver you expired Web 2.0s rather cheap. Some will even register them for you and provide you with all the log in details. Saves you loads of time.

You can then use these expired Web 2.0s to rank your websites. I use my private blog network of Web 2.0 sites to rank and bank for many affiliates and Adsense sites.

You can use each Web 2.0 to create backlinks to more than one money site. They are a great little investment.

Expired high PA Web 2.0 backlinks are the cheapest and fastest way to rank web sites.

This is the perfect ranking strategy for the individual site webmaster or small business owner who has a small SEO budget.

Find Easy To Rank Keywords

One super-easy way to find keywords that are easy to rank is to use

I also like to use instead of Keyword Revealer or alongside it. If I had to recommend just one tool for keyword SEO competition score analysis I would go for KW Finder.

First of all, set up your Keyword Revealer account:

Keyword Revealer is free to use, you get seven free keyword analysis each day. For this process that is all we are going to require.

Log in and select “Tools”, then select “Keyword Tool” as pictured below:

Keyword Revealer Tools

Then enter a seed keyword based on your niche, select location and then hit the submit button.

Enter a word to describe your niche

Now you will have a whole load of potential keywords based around your niche. Pick one that you like the look of and hit the evaluate button.

Click evaluate keyword

I like the look of “Web 2.0 Backlinks”, the evaluate button will let us know how difficult it is to rank for this keyword.

Web 2.0 Backlinks has a low keyword difficulty

The keyword difficulty is 15, which is extremely low and is therefore ideal for this ranking tutorial.

Backlinks to top ranking sites

As you can see, Keyword Revealer analyses the top ten ranking websites in Google for your selected keyword.

Not one of the top ten sites has the keyword in the Title, Description or H1 tags. Also, page authority is low, as is the number of backlinks to the top-ranking sites.

I am certain that aged Web 2.0 backlinks with high page authority will rank my site number one on Google for the keyword “Web 2.0 Backlinks”.

You should also work out how much money your keyword is worth in monetary terms. There are no point building backlinks for 3 months to hit the top spot only to earn $3 a month from it.

How easy was that?

Now we have a super easy keyword that we are confident we can rank number one for. The Web 2.0 backlinks strategy works for Keyword Difficulty 30 and below. It will even work for harder keywords, but I have not tested that.

Before we start building backlinks we need to make sure our content is fully optimized to beat the competition.

You will find below details of how you need to optimize your money site content. This has to be done before you start to build backlinks.

How To Optimize Your Content

Backlinks are a highly important ranking factor, however, we need to make sure our content is optimized first.

Keyword Revealer has given us some big tips on how to optimize our content.

This is what needs to be done:

  • Make sure your content is focused around a particular keyword. Mention the keyword in the top, middle and bottom of your content. Do not overdo Keyword density, I am always around or below 1%. This post is 0.6%.
  • Top ranking sites have long content posts. Make sure your content is in-depth and around or more than 2000 words long.
  • Put images in your content. One image should have your keyword in the ALT tag.
  • Put your keyword in your main (H1) heading.
  • Have your exact keyword in your URL extension.
  • Put the keyword in the Title and Description Tags.
  • Have at least one outbound link to an authority site in your niche. (Do not link to a competitor for your keyword)

I always do some internal links to my new content. Go through the rest of the content on your site and link to your new content if related words appear in the text. I sometimes add to existing posts to get an internal link to my new content.

That’s it. Stick to these six simple steps and you will certainly rank number one in the search engines with the powerful Web 2.0 backlinks we are now going to build.

How to Create Web 2.0 Backlinks

Now it is time to build the powerful Web 2.0 Backlinks to our awesome highly optimized content.

The key is to use aged high page authority Web 2.0 sites. You can use new Web 2.0 sites, this takes a lot longer because you will need to power them up with backlinks.

The fastest way to rank in Google is to buy aged Web 2.0 sites. Scraping them yourself takes time.

Some people just use Tumblr blogs, I like to use a mix. You can buy aged Web 2.0 sites really cheap. You can use them to rank more than one site, they are great value for money.

Try one of the guys below to get started. The lower the keyword difficulty the less Web 2.0 backlinks you are going to require to rank number one in Google.

What you need:

$1 will get you an expired Tumblr blog with at least 10 backlinks pointing to it. You have to register them yourself, this is not a problem at such a low price. You can use this guy on

$5 will get you 50 expired Tumblr blogs with PA 30+. Again you have to register them yourself. You can use this guy for these.

Now for the social signals. You can use this service to get 4000 social signals for just $10.

So basically, with the use of, you can rank a website no.1 for less than $10.

What I used to rank this post:

For just $5 I got 5 high page authority Weebly and 5 high page authority Tumblr blogs from here. The best part is that they are registered for you, they have a PA 28+.

I used the 4000 social signals service as mentioned above.

I always get people to find the expired Weebly and Tumblr blogs for me. This saves me loads of time, it’s worth it with them being so cheap.

While I wait for my order to be completed I get on with writing the content.

Because the keyword selected for this post has an extremely low keyword difficulty score of 15, I am going to use just 10 web 2.0 backlinks.

5 high page authority Tumblrs and 5 high page authority expired Weeblys combined with 4000 social signals to this page will easily be enough to rank it.

If 10 Web 2.0 backlinks do not rank this page number one for my selected keywords, I will simply add more backlinks using web 2s until I rank first.

This process is super simple.

How To Build Your Backlinks

It is very important that you read this part on how to build your Web 2.0 backlinks in the right way. You do not want to have your keyword in the backlink anchor text every time.

Each time you create a backlink from your Web 2.0 sites, you need to think about the text that is used inside the link.

This is what works really well for me:

  • Keyword
  • URL
  • Brand

So your first backlink from a Web 2.0 site will contain your keyword in the anchor text.

Your second lot of content on your second Web 2.0 will use your money site URL for the anchor text.

The third Web 2.0 backlink will have “click here” as the anchor text. Your fourth Web 2.0 backlink will use your brand name as the anchor text.

On your fifth Web 2.0, you will go back to the beginning of the process and use your keyword as the anchor text and so on and so forth until you have used all your Web 2 sites.

Sometimes I do not bother with the branded anchor text if I am not going to create many backlinks. I will not use the branded anchor text in this tutorial as I am only going to create 10 Web 2.0 backlinks.

Remember you are trying to make your backlink profile look as natural as possible. Do not miss this step.

I always log all my Web 2.0 backlinks in an Excel file. I note down the Web 2.0 backlink URL, the anchor text used and the date it was published.

How To Get Backlinks From Tumblr Web 2.0

Now that you have your expired high page authority Web 2.0 sites, it is time to get some backlinks from them.

We will start with Tumblr because they are quick and easy to do. You do not need to add a lot of content to each post. I like to add around 200 words, you can do less if you are pushed for time.

Tumblr has recently started to do a redirect, which might just kill your backlink juice. If you put a small description of your blog post in the Tumblr Site Description, you will get a backlink to your site without the redirect. I will show you how to do this below.

Get into your Tumblr account

First of all, log in to your Tumblr account with the email address and password that we provide you with.

Click on the pencil to add a post

Click on the pencil icon in the top right corner of the screen to add your first post.

Now click on the Aa text icon

Now click on the Text icon. Don’t worry, you can add links, videos and other media too.

Add title, tags and URL

Use your keywords that you want to rank for in the post Title, Custom URL (get to by clicking on the tools icon) and Tags.

Highlight text to add your Tumblr backlink

Add your content (around 200 words will do), then highlight the text that you want to use as your anchor for your backlink. Now, select the link icon and then add the URL back to your money site.

You can also link out to another authority site in your niche. Just do not link out to a competitor that ranks in the top 10 search results for your selected keyword.

Now hit the post button to get your content live

Now hit the post button, you now have your first powerful Web 2.0 backlink in place. We are not finished yet, we now have a Tumblr redirect backlink, now let’s get a direct backlink from Tumblr.

Select edit appearance option

Click the person tab in the top right of your screen, then click on “edit appearance”.

click on the edit theme button

Next, you need to click on the edit theme button.

Add code into the description area

You will need to add some basic HTML code into the description area to get your direct backlink from Tumblr.

I add a “Blog Posts” section to my site description area. So I will copy the first few lines of the content we created earlier that includes the link to our money site.

Add this html code to your Tumblr description

Now add the Html code to the description area. Your code will look something like above. Take a note of the link to your money site and Tumblr post.

You can copy and paste the code below:

<h1>Blog Posts</h1>
<h2>Your Blog Post Title (keyword)</h2>

<a href=””>your anchor text</a>

<p><a href=””>Continue

Problems with code:

Some people have experienced problems with the code above.

Make sure that your quotation marks look like they do in the image above (the code in red).

Check that your quotation marks are facing the right way round 🙂 You can go here to copy a working code for HTML Links.

Add your content around the code.

After you have added the code, hit the save button on the top left of your screen. Then hit the exit button.

Now check out your Tumblr site. You will have a redirect link to your money site from a blog post, and a direct link from the description section at the top of your Tumblr site just underneath your blog icon.

That’s it. Repeat this process over and over again on all your different Tumblr blogs. You can use each blog over and over again to rank as many money sites as you wish.

Get Backlinks From Weebly Web 2.0

Let’s go right ahead and get some sweet backlinks from our high page authority Weebly Web 2.0 sites. I usually write around 300 to 500 words of content for my Weebly sites.

Always write unique content for your Web 2.0 sites as they are sure to get picked up by Google. This is by far the best way to go.

Enter your email address to log into Weebly

Enter your email address and password that we give you to log into your expired Weebly account.

Select your Weebly blog theme

Then select your Weebly theme. Make sure that you select a Blog Theme. This is important, you want all your posts to show on the high page authority home page. This means that all the backlinks you create from this Web 2.0 site will come from a high authority page.

Click Add Post Button

Click the “New Post” button at the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.

Add your keywords to your post title

Add your post title, use your keyword as I have in the picture shown above. Then drag an element from the left-hand side panel into the content section. First I drag an image element across, and then a text element, which we will add our content to. Click in the text element area and write some content in there.

Highlight text to add your Web 2.0 backlink

Highlight the text that you want to use as your anchor text in your backlink. Then click the link icon on the toolbar and enter the URL that you want the link to go to. I will add a link back to this page and also another link to an authority site in the Web 2.0 niche.

Click the post button to publish your backlink

Click the “Post” button in the top right-hand corner of your screen, you will now have a live Weebly Web 2.0 backlink to your site.

Make sure Google indexes your Weebly link

Before you leave Weebly there is one last thing you need to do. By default, all Weebly sites are hidden from the search engines. Google will not find your backlink unless you cover this step.

Click the “settings tab” at the top of the screen. Then select “SEO” from the left-hand navbar. Scroll down until you see the “hide site from search engines” toggle. Toggle it to “off” and then hit the save button at the bottom left-hand corner of your screen.

That’s it. You can now go ahead and create Tumblr and Weebly Web 2.0 backlinks to rank any site you want to.

Your work is not finished yet. You need to get your backlinks indexed in Google search in order for them to improve your ranking.

Get Your Backlinks Indexed

The last step in the ranking process is to get all your Web 2.0 backlinks indexed in Google search. There are many ways to do this, my way is fast and easy.

I used to fire Social Bookmarks and social signals to my Web 2.0 sites in order to get the backlinks indexed by Google. This process took way too long, my new strategy is below.

UPDATE: I do not use Link Centaur any more, it is a waste of time. All you have to do is submit URL to Google search, all are outlined below.

Some expired web 2.0 sites just will not index, you can use the same content on a different web 2, it’s not the content, it’s the web 2 site subdomain itself. If the web 2 does not index after doing a Google submit it is not going to index. You need to bin that web 2 and move onto another one. Sometimes a Spam expired web 2 will not index at all.

To check if your web 2.0 site is indexed simply pop the full web 2 URL into Google search.

Use Link Centaur to get your backlinks indexed fast

The first thing I do is add my Web 2.0 URLs to This site will get your backlinks indexed by Google. The best part is it is free to use. Well, on the free account you can add 50 URLs per day, perfect.

Click "add a campaign" button

After you have confirmed your account click on the “Add a Campaign” button.

Add your campaign name and hit the save button

Add your campaign name. I always name each campaign by the keywords that I am looking to rank for. Then hit the “Save Campaign” button.

Now click the "details" button to add your backlink URL

Now click on the “Details” button. This is where we will add our Web 2.0 URL to get our backlink indexed.

Now click on the "Add Links" tab

Now click on the “Add Links” tab and then enter your Web 2.0 URLs into the text area. Then click the “Add Links” button at the bottom of the screen.

Link Centaur does not guarantee that your Web 2.0 sites will get indexed. This is why I always add another step into the process. I will manually submit my Web 2.0 sites to Google, you need to visit the add URL to Google page to do this.

UPDATE (2019) – You can’t index your web 2.0 backlinks using Google search console in 2019.

The good news is that I have done a post on how to index backlinks in minutes really fast in Google.

You use Google Tools to force a Google spider to crawl the websites where your backlinks exist.

Add your Web 2.0 site to Google

Simply enter your Web 2.0 URL and hit the “Submit Request” button. If your content is unique, it is sure to hit the Google index. Sometimes my Web 2.0 sites get indexed in the Google search results within minutes of pressing the submit button.

There you have it, a complete ranking strategy. Follow this process to the letter and you will be ranking sites high in Google in no time at all.

**UPDATE 2019**

You can’t index backlinks using Google console anymore.

Make sure you register expired Weebly and Tumblr blogs that are already indexed.

This will save you time in the future.

You can see how to find these for free without software here.

You can also index the links by doing Tier 2 links on social media.

Simply drop the links on Facebook, Twitter, Reddit and they will index.

It takes a little longer but is worth doing in the long run.

When Will You See The Results

This is different for every site that I have ranked. I normally see some search engine movement with this technique within a week or so.

To rank a new page from scratch at number one in Google using this system it can take 2 or 3 months. Don’t worry if you don’t see instant results, just keep building the backlinks and you will most definitely improve your ranking.

The important thing to do is not to quit. Don’t build two backlinks and stop, keep going with them until you reach number one. This process does work, I have used it over and over again.

What I Have Achieved With This System

I used just 10 high page authority expired Web 2.0 backlinks to rank number one in Google search. This was for my dog breeds site, my chosen keyword has a difficulty score of 20 on the Keyword Revealer site.

I used just 28 Web 2.0 backlinks to rank number one in Google for another dog breeds keyword. This keyword gets over 2000 searches per month, it has a Keyword Revealer difficulty score of 20.

I have ranked so many other sites using this system. It takes a little work, but it is well worth doing if you pick the right keywords to focus your time on.

The Results

I will log the ranking results here. I will keep track of when each backlink is created and post the dates here for all to see.

A good piece of free software to use to track your ranking is called “Rank Tracker” by SEO Power Suite. I use this all the time, this software will analyze keyword difficulty for you, worth knowing for when you run out of free daily Keyword Revealer tries.

The day the post is published:

This post was published on Friday 18/03/2016. Google ranking: N/A. Zero backlinks created.

After submitting this post to “Google add URL” in less than 30 minutes after the post was published the post is indexed in Google search. ranking is: 41 and ranking is: 49. This is with zero backlinks created.

Sunday, March 20th, 2016:

Added 1 Tumblr and 1 Weebly backlink.’s ranking is: 22 and ranking is: 25. That’s a whopping improvement of 19 places on and 24 places on Lot’s of movement in just 2 days with just 2 backlinks created.

Monday, March 21st, 2016:

Added 4 Tumblr Web 2.0 Backlinks. No change to ranking.

Tuesday, March 22nd, 2016:

Added 4 Weebly backlinks. Now we have a total of 10 Web 2.0 backlinks pointing to this page. ranking is: 23 and ranking is: 26. A ranking drop of 1, this is only natural. I always see a small drop in ranking before a big rise. When the social signals kick in we will get a big improvement in ranking.

So far I have 4 Weebly and 4 Tumblr Web 2.0 backlinks indexed in Google search. For some reason 1 Weebly and 1 Tumblr did not index. I will create another Weebly and Tumblr post so that we have ten backlinks indexed.

I have added one extra Tumblr and one extra Weebly. Both of these backlinks have been indexed. We now have ten backlinks from web 2.0 sites indexed. Let’s wait to see how this affects the rankings.

Tuesday, March 29th, 2016:

2350 mixed social signals added. This page has dropped from the Google index altogether. This is because it is a new site and I built backlinks to it too quickly. The page will sit in the Google sandbox for a little time and will eventually return to the index. This is only natural for a new site like this.

Thursday, March 31st, 2016:

This page is now back in the Google search result pages. On it’s ranked: 24 and on it’s ranked: 26. It will probably remain in that position for a while, if it does I will add some more web 2.0 backlinks.

Saturday, April 9th, 2016:

Ranking update: 20, 20. The ranking is now climbing, not added any more backlinks. Still climbing with the original 10 high page authority Weebly and Tumblr backlinks. This goes to prove, ranking any site is a long term project and takes time, patience is required, the results do come. This method never fails.

Sunday, April 17th, 2016:

Ranking update: 8, 8. The ranking has improved significantly by 12 places in just one week. I have not added any extra backlinks. This ranking has been achieved with just 5 Weebly and 5 Tumblr backlinks and some social signals. I am sure the ranking will continue to rise. When it settles in a particular spot I will add more backlinks until no.1 rank is attained, however, this might not be required.

Monday, April 18th, 2016: One Month Ranking Update

This page has been live for exactly one month now. We have gone from zero to Google rank 8 in just one month. We are on the first page of Google with just 10 Web 2.0 backlinks.

Wednesday, April 27th, 2016:

The search engine movement has leveled off. I have added some of these free backlinks to power up the page. If ranking does not improve I will add more high page authority web 2.0 backlinks.

Sunday, May 1st, 2016:

In just 4 days, the free backlinks that I added have improved the ranking of this page. 6 and 7. That’s a two-place ranking rise on and a one-place rise for I am sure those free backlinks will continue to improve the ranking of this page over the next few weeks.

Wednesday, May 4th, 2016:

Today I have added 8 more high page authority Tumblr backlinks. The current rank is 6 and 7. Let’s see how these web 2.0 backlinks take effect over the next few weeks.

Friday, May 6th, 2016:

I have added 7 more Tumblr posts with backlinks included. The ranking has not changed since May 4th.

Sunday, May 15th, 2016: 3 and 3. Now ranked in position no. 3 on Google search. The page now has a total of 5 Weebly and 20 Tumblr expired web 2 blogs pointing at it. Give this a few more weeks and no. 1 ranking will be achieved. This has taken nearly 2 months to achieve. Ranking no. 1 usually takes around 3 months to do, so I am on track here.

Sunday, June 5th, 2016:

This page is now ranked at 2 and 2. Just one more place to go and we have hit the top spot.

I have not added any more backlinks since my last ranking report.

Thursday, June 9th, 2016: No. 1 Ranking Achieved

This page is now ranked no. 1 on Google search using just web 2.0 backlinks

Today this page hit the no. 1 spot in Google search. So how long has it taken to rank this page no. 1 with just web 2.0 backlinks?

Took exactly 83 days to rank no. 1 in Google search UK and USA. Just under 3 months.

How many expired web 2 sites did I use?

5 Weebly and 20 Tumblr blogs. That’s all it took, it’s just a game of patience and building the backlinks at a steady rate. Now it is your turn to go ahead and Rank no. 1.

Proof on no. Google ranking with Rank Tracker software

Web 2.0 Backlinks Ranking Schedule

Below is the exact schedule I used to rank this page no. 1 in Google search.

Follow part 1 of my web 2.0 backlinks ranking schedule

As you can see, you start off slowly building the web 2.0 backlinks at a steady rate.

Web 2.0 ranking schedule part 2

After the end of your first week, you should be ranked close to or at the bottom of page 1.

Last backlinks to build before you hit the no. 1 spot

Not every strategy will be the same, but you can use this as a loose guide to how it is done.

Of course, high competition keywords will require more backlinks in this time to rank at the top spot.

This is what needs to be done:

Month 1: 5 Weebly and 5 Tumblr Posts. All done on different Tumblr/Weebly subdomains. Add 2350 social signals.

Rank check at end of month one; should be at bottom of Google page one or top of page two.

Month 2: New web 2.0 link wheel (not expired web 2s). See my free backlinks page for information on how to do this.

Rank check at end of month two; should be ranked number 3 or 4.

Month 3: 15 Tumblr posts. All done on different Tumblr sub domain properties.

Rank check at end of month three; should be ranked number 1.

To use the exact same strategy I have used here just click on the links below. The results are here for you to see, if you use this system you will rank number one on Google search.

See my blog post on how to find an expired web 2.0 manual for free (includes all web 2.0 platforms, not just Tumblr).

This is how to use the software to find good quality expired Tumblr blogs that will help you rank.

After downloading expired Tumblr Hunter open the free software

After downloading the free software open it up. You can find niche related expired Tumblr blogs by selecting the “Niche related” tab. Then you will need to enter your keywords.

This software is so good because you do not need any proxies or VPN.

Enter your niche keywords and hit the start button

Input your niche keywords and then hit the “start” button.

You do not have to search for niche related expired Tumblr blogs if you do not want to.

Do not select the “Niche related” tab if you do not require niche related Tumblr blogs. Just open the software and hit the start button.

Take a look at the expired Tumblr blogs available to register

After a couple of minutes, I get a list of expired Tumblr blogs ready to register.

The software even lets you know if Tumblr is available to register or not.

Right click and copy the Tumblr URL

When you have a good list of expired Tumblr blogs we need to check the backlinks pointing to them. We need to make sure that they are worth registering.

A Tumblr without any backlinks is worthless to us, it will not pass on a great deal of ranking juice.

Select a Tumblr that is available to register and right-click on the URL and copy it.

We are going to paste the URL into a few free backlink checker tools to analyze the backlinks.

Paste the Tumblr URL into the free online backlink checker tool

Paste the Tumblr URL into this free backlink checker tool. I use this one because it finds the most amount of backlinks.

Take a look at the backlinks pointing to your expired Tumblr blog

Take a look at the backlinks pointing to your expired Tumblr. This one has lots of Pinterest and other Web 2 backlinks. It’s not the strongest Tumblr ever, so I would not register this one.

We are looking for an expired Tumblr with lots of backlinks from good authority domains.

To check the authority of the backlinks pointing to the Tumblr blog just visit the URL and use MozBar.

Check the quality of the backlinks pointing to the Tumblr

Use MozBar to check the quality of the backlinks pointing to Tumblr.

As you can see, this one is poor. We are looking for backlinks to the Tumblr from pages with high PA with backlinks pointing to them too. This will pass on some serious ranking juice.

Now let’s check if the backlinks that point to the Tumblr still exist.

Now check if the backlinks are still live

Now paste the URL into the backlink checker tool. It is free to use, however you do need to sign up for an account.

This tool lets us know if the backlinks pointing to Tumblr still exist. If the backlinks have been removed then there will be no ranking juice passed onto our money site.

That’s it. Go and get the tool and find yourself some expired Tumblr blogs with loads of backlinks for free.

You have no excuses for not ranking sites no. 1 now.

Just take your time finding a Tumblr with some decent backlinks. It will pay off big time if you do.

I just found an expired Tumblr using the Expired Tumblr Hunter software that has a backlink from a PA 65 with 9000 backlinks pointing to it. This particular Tumblr has 6 more strong backlinks pointing to it. This is some serious ranking juice that I got for free, wahooo.

How To Register Expired Web 2 Tumblr Blogs

This is a quick tutorial on how to register expired Tumblr blogs. Sometimes when you buy expired Web 2.0 sites you need to register them yourself.

This is how you do it:

First of all sign up for a free email address. I use or Yahoo.

You can register all expired Tumbly blogs under 1 email address if you like.

I like to use a new email address for every Tumblr blog. This way, if one gets shut down, you do not lose them all.

You can mask your IP address when you register them, you can use a free IP masking service. I do not do this, if you are concerned about footprints then you might want to do this.

Click on the "GET STARTED" button

Click on the “Get Started” button.

Add your email, password and username to sign up

Add the email address that you just signed up for. Add your password. Now, for the username use the name of the expired Tumblr blog that you were given. So in my case here it was Then hit the signup button.

Now enter your age and accept the terms of service

Now enter your age and accept the terms of service. Click the “Next” button.

Then select 5 subjects that you are into

Then select 5 things that you are into and hit the next button.

Go ahead and verify your Tumblr email address

Then you need to go ahead and verify your Tumblr email address that you used on sign up.

You will now get the Tumblr email verified page

You have now verified your email. Now go to your Tumblr dashboard. You can visit your Tumblr site URL to check you are up and running. Now you can add some content to your new expired Tumblr blog and get those Web 2.0 backlinks to your money site.

If you want to register an expired Tumblr URL to an existing account do the following:

Register an expired Tumblr domain to an existing account

From your dashboard click on the little person icon in the top right of the screen. Then click on “+New”.

Enter the expired Tumblr blog URL

Pop in your blog title and enter the URL of the expired high page authority Tumblr blog. Then click “Create Blog” and you are done. It’s fast and easy to add an expired Tumblr blog to an existing account.

This is the message you get if someone has registered the Tumblr before you

Every now and again someone will beat you to registering the expired Tumblr blog. This is what you will see if this happens. I know it’s annoying, but it does happen.

Most sellers of expired Tumblr blogs will replace them if they have already been registered by someone else before you get there. The guy that sells them for $1, as featured above, will replace them if you get back to him before 3 days after the order was delivered.

Now you have the Tumblr registered it’s time to get your powerful Web 2.0 backlinks and start ranking.

You can discover how to remove the redirect in Tumblr backlinks here.

How to Make Web 2.0 Backlinks for Free
5.0 rating based on 12,345 ratings
Overall rating: 5 out of 5 based on 8 reviews.
  1. wow so cool…
very great explanation but i still have some question.

    1) how If i found expired tumblr that have high PA DA, but no backlink?

    2) where social signal pointed? to money site or to our expired tumblr?

    3) how to get other expired web 2.0 for free? because the tool you mention in this article just for tumblr

    • 1. If it does not have any backlinks then do not register it, the PA will drop very soon. It has no rank power at all really, you are better off setting up a new Tumblr with your keyword in the sub domain URL. The PA remains on the Tumblr because it did have backlinks at some point and they were removed, when MOZ does it’s next update the site will lose its PA.

      2. All social signals go to your money site.

      3. You can get other web 2.0 platforms using GScraper, you can download this for free, however it’s not entirely free because you are going to require some proxies to use it.

  2. Hi Nick,
Thanks a lot for this blogpost, it is very well explained and super useful. I have followed everything you mention here, I literally went through your excel schedule and did everything you said. I am now in the 3rd week of your schedule, my ranking has improved a lot but my site is still showing in page 4 when it should be in page 1.
The KC for my keyword is 25, the site DA is 12 and PA is 27.
Could you please give me some advice on something that I may be doing wrong or any tips to improve?
    Many thanks for your help,

  3. Hi Nick,
I just realized that the link for the social signals is down, both are to be exact. Do you have other services to recommend there? I guess sending social signals is still somewhat important?
Is it important to have good ratings for the web 2.0s on majestics and ahrefs aswell? Or is the only important thing still that the 2.0s have (good) backlinks to them?
    Thanks man!

    • This social signals service is good. I have listed all the social signal services that I have used here, all are good to use. Social signals needs to be done before you go ahead and get those backlinks, makes things look a little more natural and is a ranking factor. The only metrics I concern myself with when looking for expired web 2s is MOZ metrics, I don’t spend a great deal of time searching for them….if they have high page authority and lots of backlinks (over 5o will do) I will register. Really it’s only the backlinks you are interested in, forget using too many metrics, they will cloud your vision and stop you cracking on with the real job at hand, getting those backlinks in place to power your site up the SERPs.

      • Okay so you are focusing on moz PA as a factor. But for me any dropped web 2.0 has a 2.0S of 1, no matter how many links they have. It seems like the PA only goes back to the real value once it is registered again. At least the once I stumble upon which have been re registered are showing PA>30… Is that only due to bad luck, that I only find low PA or do you see the same aswell?
Do you do some more backlinks to the 2.0s or maybe social signals or something? Or do you just leave them as they are?

        • Web 2s with PA 28+ are perfect for this strategy, register them and get some unique content on them, they will rank you up if you use them on the right keywords. I don’t build any backlinks back to the Web 2.0 sites or get any social signals, I drop the backlinks then leave them to do their job, no extra work to do with this strategy.

  4. Hi Nick,

If my tumblr points to multiple moneysites (i’m using it like a pbn), is it advisable for me to include all my moneysites in the description? IF so, what would be the best practice?

Tumblrs currently have one post directed to each moneysite at the moment.

    Thank you!

    • You can put a link to all your money sites in the Tumblr description, it’s not something I do anymore because the rank juice still flows even with the re-direct in there. I have tested it, you only need a link in the post content to rank up. If I was going to drop a link in the description I would describe the site in question in around 100 to 200 words and then leave a read more backlink to the money site.

  5. Hi Nick,

Is there a High Quality Service that does on Autopilot for me Since I don’t have time to do all of this by myself , and I am not looking for Cheap Fiverr/SEOCLERKS websites etc .. gigs.. I am looking for an actual service with positive reviews from different users who used it before.

  6. It might look a stupid questions but I am a beginner and just came to know about back links today!
    1. Is this all for ranking a page? or a website? Or it work for both?
    2. I have not understand the use of expired websites. Isn’t it a blackhat method?
    3. Do I need to submit all my Tumblr and weebly blogs to google search console from the same account or from different?
    4. What exactly is social trigger? Is it the total shares on social media?
I will be waiting for your answer Nick 🙂
Share the link of ranking 1 for free you were talking about in the comments above.

    Thanks in advance! 🙂

    • 1. This strategy is for ranking one page for a selected keyword. It helps your site on a whole when the rank juice flows if you have done your internal links well.
      2. All backlink building is blackhat, you are not supposed to build backlinks to your site, they are supposed to come naturally. If you wait for it to happen you will be waiting a long time, this is a way to promote your content (trying not to say build backlinks) to get your site ranked up so that the backlinks do eventually come naturally when your site hits the first page of Google. We re-register expired web 2s because they have backlinks pointing to them, the backlinks that point to the web 2 help push your main website up the SERPs.
      3. I have many Google accounts set up. I submit each Weebly and Tumblr blog to Google console using a different account. However, it is good to get blogs that are already indexed if you can.
      4. Social signals come from your website URL being shared and liked on Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, Pinterest. This shows Google bot that your content has some interest in it. Not heard the term “Social Trigger” before, must be total social signal count I would think…or some platform to help you get a social signals boost. Here is my free backlinks post.

  7. Hi there,
Very nice and Informative article, I will start using this method this month for my website with a keyword 44 diffuclt, hope to get some good ranking
    Thank you so much Nick.

  8. Nick, how many tumblr subdomain do you usually register under a single account/email

I understand different for each subdomain will be better, but to create 60 emails and accounts is time consuming.

If it is safe enough to have around 5 tumblr on single account ?

    • Hi Rinti, throughout last year I registered no more than 5 Tumblrs per account…now I register 10 per account. It is safe to have 5 per account, it all boils down to how many you are prepared to lose if your account gets banned. I have not had any banned in a very long time, it is okay to register 10 under the same email.

  9. Hi Nick! I’ve just built 10 tumblr backlinks to my blog. But I’ve got one question just to be sure: I understand that you have to include your keyword in the POST TITLE, POST URL AND TAG. But on the EDIT THEME Part, do you use your keyword on the BLOG TITLE as well? Or can you use random keyword or just use the username of the tumblr blog as the Blog Title? What do you suggest? Thanks in advance. 🙂

  10. nick is it okay in web 2 sites to put a Site Title and a Tagline to your own title and tagline? thanks

  11. Wow, I am so happy for you “oussama blackwell”….And our wonderful Mentor Nick….A big Kudo NICK, you just showed us a Path.!!!

  12. Today is a special day for me as I am finally ranking number one for one of the most competitive keywords out there (58 KD) , I over ranked very high authoritative sites that I never thought I can do so. I really can’t thank you enough nick as you showed me a system that I thought before this post it could never be possible without spending huge investments on links. and believe me I did it all my self without even paying a dollar. for those who are worried about if this shit works or not, I just would like to advice them to stop talking and start doing as it took me around 3 to 4 months to rank using exactly what nick is showing here. thanks again nick 🙂

    • Hey, Nice to hear @oussama, would like to know the back link count you have used the same or what exactly you have implemented, hope you could brief on this to help us. Good luck.

      • In general you need 38% of total backlinks from all top 10 ranking sites for your selected keyword to rank no. 1. Of course you need awesome content too as well as social signals and a low bounce rate.

    • Great news, this strategy certainly works on the right keywords, if you put the effort into a campaign you can hit the top spot if you build the links slow and steady over a 3 month period. SEO does not have to be expensive, all can be done on a small budget, nothing at all if you are prepared to do the work yourself. It’s good to hear someone followed the strategy exactly, it does work if you do not miss any of the steps out of the system.

  13. I am having an issue with getting my expired Tumblrs to index. Any advice?

    • You can find expired Tumblrs that are already indexed.

You can drop Tier 2 backlinks to your Tumblr posts/homepage. You can drop a Google Plus backlink to the Tumblr….

  14. Do you have any other suggestions for finding keywords? keywordrevealer produced nothing relevant and Kwfinder blocks access because I use a VPS.

  15. Hi nick, i am planning to build around 5/10 tumblr and same amount of wordpress, is it necessary to have my keyword in urls of all those web 2.0 ? or any random web 2.0 url will do as far as i put relevant contents, images and keyword in the post ?

I am really confused, pls guide.

    • It’s not necessary to have your keyword in the sub domain URL on month 1 backlinks….the backlinks you get in month 1 are from expired web 2.0 sites that have high page authority that you have re-registered. Then in month 2 you set up brand new web 2.0 blogs that have your keyword in the sub domain URL.

  16. Hey Nick!
Amazing post.. I wonder if can I make some of my blogs web 2.0 in Spanish? my money site is in English, will works?

    • Yeah no problem, it’s not unusual for Spanish to use Tumblr and other web 2.0 sites to blog and drop backlinks to sites. It will not hurt your rank…just make sure you mix up your anchors and you will be good to rank up.

  17. Thank you very much for this great content. Please let me know whether home page of post/page to link these backlinks.

    • You will have a blog roll of your posts on your web 2.0 homepage….this way your money site will get a backlink from the Web 2.0 post page and the Web 2.0 home page.

You drop a backlink to the URL on your money site that you are looking to rank up. If you are looking to improve your homepage rank for a particular keyword then drop a backlink to your money site homepage from the web 2.0 site. If you are looking to rank a post, drop a backlink to the post page on your money site 🙂

  18. aside from the “web 2 backlink” keyword, can i use another keyword of the ten tumblr and weebly blogs, mean more keywords of the expired blogs bought.

  19. hi nick i fallowed your steps and created web 2.0 back links 1 week back my organic traffic was down i checked back links in seo spyglass my expired tumbler blog link getting 70% penalty risk and my organic traffic also fully doped i don’t know what happen can you help with this

    • The 70% penalty risk is because of lots of backlinks from the same IP….it’s not a big problem coming from web 2.0 sites. Like I say in the post and in the comments, your site will jump around the SERPs a lot when it first start to gain backlinks…that’s only natural. All my sites take a dive, sometimes even fall out of the index altogether, but always come back and settle in a better position than when I started building the backlinks. You can remove the link, if it was me I would leave it for 2 to 3 weeks to see what happens….rank will most likely return for the better.

  20. the most comprehensive i have read! thank you so much.

  22. Hi Nick,

I have just come over to your website and WOW I am very luck to have read your post. Whenever you go with the expired Tumblr blog and Web 2.0 backlinks to rank only 1 post so do you use new article in every Web 2.0 backlinks and also with Tumblr blogs.

  23. Hi. I just want to thank you for writing this great guide. I’m currently following your strategy and hoping it’ll boost my rankings. Bought a bunch of expired tumblr blogs to register. 🙂

    • No problem at all, glad I can help. If you build the backlinks slow and steady it will almost certainly help improve your rank. Let me know how it goes 🙂

  24. My question is, how briskly ought to we have a tendency to build the link. i do know your strategy takes three months however is it cannot build quite three links a day? ( quantity of 3 is what I assume that is that the safe boundary) conjointly, is that this traditional anyway? anytime my page disappears from serps I distressed I did one thing wrong.

    • It’s not how many backlinks you build per day, it’s how many backlinks you index in Google search per day. I have not had any problems indexing 3 backlinks per day. If you want to play it really safe then in your first month index the 10 backlinks spread across the 30 days…when a site starts to gain backlinks it will jump around the SERPs quite a bit, don’t panic, just index the backlinks slow and steady and your rank will eventually improve 🙂

  25. Thanks for a very interesting article. I tried this technique and it absolutely obliterated my rankings, DROPPED from the first page to the 8th or 9th page!

    Any advice?

  26. Thanks for the reply Nick, I’ll trying your method with the new site and limiting the amount of links per web 2.0. I scraped 6 tumblrs last night, just need to check them out. I’m thinking about buying some expired domains with my niche keyword in them for some extra power.

I’ll let you know how it goes, I’m hitting the top of page 3 with the new site after just under 2 weeks of building links.

  27. Hi Nick, fantastic article and very informative. I’m using the tumblr hunter now, already getting some results to check out.

I’ve built up a network of 24 web 2.0s, wordpress and expired tumblr mainly, but I’ve been reusing them with 4 or 5 posts on each one with links back to my two money sites. All of the sites have at least 10 posts each, but after reading your strategy, maybe I should be limiting the amount of back links per blog. I did rank another site on the first page for keywords with a difficulty of 36, 31 and 29, none were 1st place.

I have a new site with keywords that are 18 and 19, plus 23 and 27, around 4000 searches per month for all 4. The products are priced $300 to $5000 on Amazon, so I think I will use this method for my new site.

    • Thanks Graham, Definitely limit the number of outbound links on each blog, you do not want to dilute the rank juice too much.

Sounds like you have some great keywords there, good earning potential with them. If you follow this strategy it is sure to rank you up, make sure you do the new web 2.0 link wheel too…I have started to power up the link wheel with 5 high PA Tumblr backlinks to each post, which is turning out to be very effective.

Let me know how it goes 🙂

  28. Hi Nick,

Its really impressive strategy, I am planning to work on keyword with difficulty 78. Site is 6 months old with no linking so far. What do you suggest on this, how much time it can take to rank. FYI, ranked pages against keywords are only informative like Wiki pages. So, what do you suggest on this, how much time and articles, I can expect to be on page 1 atleast. Or if you can propose a strategy to work for this, it will be great.

  29. Hi Nick, this strategy works fine with Fresh Web2.0s As Well, right?

Secondly, how long it takes to see your Web2.0s Links on GWT or Ahrefs? I added around 4 with over 1000 Words each, indexed them though Google Console, saw them for a while indexed, then disappeared, then I submited them again.

The things is that I can find them on google, but not on Google Webmaster Tools or Ahrefs or any tool, so I’m not sure if it really counts..

    What are your thoughts?

    • Yeah this strategy works great with fresh web 2s, my improve Google search ranking method is using new web web 2s to rank.

Doesn’t matter if your links do not show in Google Webmaster tools or Ahrefs, as long as the backlink pages are indexed in Google search pages your rank will improve, that is the main thing…make sure your backlinks are indexed.

Best thing to do to avoid those backlinks getting de-indexed is to buid them into a link wheel as shown on my free backlinks post, this way they will hit the index again the next time Google spider visits one of your sites in the link wheel…pretty much set and forget as long as one of the sites in the wheel is in the search index.

Doesn’t matter about external link checking tools, they are not part of Google, you just need to make sure that Google spider is aware of your links…or the search engine you are trying to rank up on.

      • Great, I indexed them again manually but they are de-indexed again, other way than the link wheel you showed is available? I’m asking this because I don’t really want to interlink my Tier 1 between them.

How to do to keep them indexed, what backlinks should I build to them?

        • Social signals will get them indexed. The big G spiders crawl social sites on a regualr basis to discover new content. Drop a backlink from Pinterest and Facebook and your sites will get indexed and remain indexed. Google plus is the best one, for obvious reasons.

You can also utilise social bookmark sites like Delicious, stumbleupon, digg, diigo and folkd.

A Tier 2 backlink from a site that is already indexed will work too. When you scrape expired Tumblrs…before you register them drop the URL into Google search….if it is indexed then you can use that Tumblr to get other sites indexed 🙂 don’t need a lot of content on them…just a link for the spiders to follow…

  30. hi,

I have a doubt that, if i tried to post the same content in various blogs (tumblr, weebly). Does google will take it as a copied content?

    • You don’t post the same content on each site, that will give you a duplicate content issue and the URLs were the backlinks sit will not remain in the index. You have to add unqie content to each site….if you don’t have the time take a look at a good content genertor like seo content machine.

  31. Hi, I have one question. Well, I ordered tumblr + wordpress and when I was checking those links on majestic – I got results. But when I get indexed those sites I can’t see results for some sites – can’t see backlinks. Why is that so? With the program for scraping I found one tumblr with 4, 428 external backlinks: register, index – no results.

    • Rank improvement takes time, set yourself 10 backlinks in the first month and index them slowly over the month. Then rank check after your first month is up, your rank will have improved if you have used the correct anchor text ratio…remember there are a lot of other variables in play too…like the other sites in your niche gaining backlinks too.

If your backlinks are not in the Google index then they will not have an affect on your ranking, use Google Console to submit them to the SERPs and the your rank will improve. All is explained in the post 🙂

      • Thanks for answer. I sent you an email. Did I made mistake because I have 5 tumblrs + 1 wordpress and I submit them on Google when I finished with blogs (creating content, changing description and so on) and you said that I have to index them slowly over the month :/ ? I will take a rest now for 2 days.

  32. Hi Nick, Thank you for your amazing article. I started to follow your guidelines and have seen some results, but have a problem with pages that have already been in page one. No improvements with those. I had two keywords sitting between 10-7th places and after adding over Tumblr blog 3 weeks, I have not noticed any movements. Both of those pages have already many brand and and generic anchors, so can I use exact and LSI keywords more heavily? Hit me an email if you have some solutions or tips for pages like that. It give me a headache to not been able to beat my competitors and rank even in top 4.

    • Thanks Simo, have your tried the new web 2.0 link wheel yet? If you add quality content to new web 2s with your keyword in the sub domain URL you are sure to rank up. What you need to do now is think about quality, build a fresh web 2.0 link wheel with good content on them (see my improve Google search ranking post). Link the web 2s up into a link wheel and then fire each web 2.0 with some high PA Tumblr backlinks…try and rank up the new Web 2s, as the Web 2s start to rank higher your site will jump up too….look at the new web 2s as an asset to your business…build them as if they were your money site…they will help you out a lot if you do.

If you have already used a lot of generic and brand anchors it is time to throw some exact match anchors into the mix (take a look at my perfect ahcor text ratio post first) do do too many exact all at once…this will push your site down, drop one in there and counter that with some long tail anchors.

If you email me your site URL I can be a little bit more specific on your anchors 🙂

  33. well, I read this article almost 2 months ago, I tried directly to go for a heavy keyword that has 47 difficulty, when I wrote my article and submitted it on google, it wasn’t even in the results. I used the exact strategy you put here (the same excel sheet :p) and after exactly two months today my page is in the 7th spot. I really can’t thank you enough because now I know a system that could rank any low competition in a short time ( maybe 2 months). I’ll come back as soon as I hit number one also with an income report. the one fact that I know for sure now is that we have to be patient and keep doing the backlinks correctly.

    • Yep, this strategy works, ranking is a long term game, add quality content to your Tier 1 Web 2.0 sites and your ranking will jump up. It’s good to hear other people doing well using this system, let me know when you hit the top spot 🙂

  34. Hi nick, i figured out myself.. When you copy from notepad to the tumblr blog it changes the quote sign to this wrong one { ” } instead of this { ” }.. So input directly from keyboard into the description area…

    Thanks a bunch Nick!!!

  35. Hello Nick I noticed the Link I put in the Description get denied…Have tumblr blocked all links from description page?

  36. Hi Nick,

After reading lot of comments on this site and articles on the web i come to know that PBNs are most powerful thing to rank sites. Would you please guide us how to make PBNs cheaply?

I have searched other sites but making one PBN site will cost nearly $70 – $75. If you could show us a solution to make it under $25 then i shall be pleased.

    • Hi Jon, there is a cheap solution…Google $5 hosting….find cheap domains with decent metrics on…don’t get ones from auction that are over priced…I can always find decent domains ready to register right away. For hosting use sites like and…super cheap and you can set up WordPress sites with a one click install.

  37. Hey Nick. I’m Gabriel from Brazil and I’ve a question.

If I use a web 2.0 (One tumblr blog, for exemple) and add a link to my money site (a page on a domain). Example:

Can I use the same web 2.0 to link another post on the same domain?

Thanks for share that amazing content. I loved this website 🙂

  38. Hi Nick, maybe you have a link somewhere and I just haven’t seen it. Do you know where I can buy verified gmail accounts from? Thanks a lot…

  39. thank you very much nick, what about adult niche?

  40. Social Signals to Money site or 2.0 Web?

  41. Hi Nick, first I wanna say that I’ve never found such a helpful blog before and I’m so glad to have come across your site. 2nd, I just have a quick question because I followed your technique to use tumblr hunter and I found 1 expired tumblr with PA 30 but it looks like rank signals show that all of the links have been removed and MOZ Open Site explorer shows that their all nofollow. Is this link worthless? Thanks!

    • Thank you for the kind words Noe. That link is not worthless, however it’s not going to have a massive impact on your ranking, great for mixing up your anchor text profile though. Keep using Tumblr Hunter until you find a Tumblr that has a lot of backlinks pointing to it, they are out there…I have found some really good ones recently using that software.

      • Thanks for the response! I actually found a couple with at least 30pa so I’ll use them to diversify my linkprofile. Just one more question, this is regarding the tumblr redirect hack by putting the link in the description. Does that mean that I can only use that tumblr blog once for 1 backlink? Or do you make multiple links in the description for different websites?

        • I have used around 5 backlinks in the Tumblr description area for 5 different site. However, I don’t put the backlink in the description area anymore, it is not required. I have tested it and the link juice still flows when there is a backlink from the post only.

  42. Hai nick.. i’m using 6 web2.0 sites for backlinks, i’ll post dummy content in all web2.0 sites and giving backlink to my main site with targeted keyword as anchor text link . Like this am doing for every new article of my website. At present getting good result and big jump in search results with this process but is it spam or natural.

    • Yeah it’s definitely spam if you are posting dummy content, those sites will not remain in the Google index. Hopefully they will give you a big enough jump in the SERPs for you to get enough traffic to gain backlinks naturally, then your rank will stick….as long as your bounce rate is low of course.

      • Is there any daily limit for web2.0 article submission, means how many back links (my targeted website pages) can i place in one web 2.0 website per day. Am posting dummy content in web2.0 sites means spinning the content which i gathered from different websites (related to that topic). And according to your reply doing web2.0 backlinks is not spammy but we should maintain good bounce rate (low) aa ??

        • I would index 3 to 5 backlinks per page max. Try not to spam the Web 2.0 sites by dropping really poor content on them. If you add something to the spun content that is of use to the reader, and the content is readable then it’s not spam.

  43. Hi Nick,
Firstly, thanks for this great guide – exactly what I was looking for. I have a question.

Say a Tumblr or Weeby has 500 natural backlinks pointing to it. Those backlinks will be pointing to lots of various different pages on that Tumblr subdomain.

When the Tumblr expires and I re-register it, the page structure of the old site no longer exists. So what happens to the links pointing to e.g., ? Is it automatically 301 directed by Tumblr to the root of the subdomain, or do we have to re-create the same URLs on the newly registered Tumblr as existed before ?

    Thanks !

    • I don’t worry about that, I am only ever concerned about the backlinks that point to the web 2.0 index page If you find that backlink point to an old post page you can go ahead and utilise the power of those backlinks by dropping some content on the same URL A post that does not exist will just go to a Tumblr “Not Found” page, it will not re-direct to the Tumblr homepage, therefore the juice is not passed on.

  44. Hey Nick,

first of all thanks for the amazing content on this blog! Really enjoy reading it!
I just ordered 60 expired Tumblr blogs and I really hope this will work. But I am a little suspicious. It just sounds too good to be true. I mean 60 high authority backlinks for 5 bucks and no hosting costs whatsoever.
Is there any downside to it?

    Anyways, thanks again!

    • Yeah, you can lose rank if you do not mix up your anchor text the right way. This is as good as it sounds, these backlinks work really well at pushing sites up the SERPs. Follow the strategy and let me know how you go with it.

  45. Thanks Nick, have read your post and all comment..I just want to start….Wish me luck

  46. Hi Nick as you discuss above how to registered expired tumbler when i Click on the “Get Started” button. it goes to yahoo instead of above step.

  47. Hey Nick, wrote you an email, hope to hear from you soon!

  48. Your post is just awesome, I must admit you have gone through a lot of trouble just to share this info with us all. Thank You for that.

but, I am still little confuse..

We don’t link Web 2.0 backlinks to our main domain but on posts?
those post which we want to rank? or what..

and How many articles do we have to post on 1 web 2.0 blogs?

    • If you are trying to rank your homepage you will link from the web 2.0 to your homepage. If you are trying to rank a post page on your money site then you need to link from the web 2 to the post page. You can post as many articles as you want per web 2.0 blog, sometimes I drop 1 article on there and leave it…this will be done if the web 2.0 does not have a lot of backlinks pointing to it. If a web 2.0 has hundreds of backlinks then I will use it to rank many sites and drop 5 or 6 articles on there.

      • Thanks, for your reply Nick..
also, Thanks to your suggested tool, I found a tumblr blog with 5 backlinks and PA 28…

but adding link on description shows the Anchor Text “Below Blog Title” and “Above Post Title” is that what we are trying to do ? or I have done it wrong..

I see your’s link which is on the description is showing up on the post.. Mine is above title post.

        • The anchor text should be below the blog title and also below the post title (sounds like you have done it wrong). You do not need to do the backlink in the description area, just a backlink in the post is enough to pass on the ranking juice. The link in the description area really should be in the post text.

  49. Hi Nick,

What a great article! I have 2 questions. 1. I have about 10 pbns and 100 web 2s. My PBNs are very high quality. I want more power and topical relevance for them. How can I use the 100 Web 2s to power 10 pbns? Im curious about the linking structure. Can each web 2 link to 10 pbns? Meaning 1000 links. Or never link to 2 pbns from the same web 2?

    2. Im also curious to know how you link your PBNs or your web 2s to your money sites. 1 money site link per web 2/pbn?

Im getting confused with the linking structure.

Thanks for all you are doing here

    • 1. I would not link to two PBN sites from the same web 2. If the PBN sites are high quality you do not want to take any risks with them. You can power them up with expired Tumblrs. If it was me I would register 10 Tumblrs in one account with good metrics and use all those Tumblrs to one of your PBN sites. Then I would register 10 more Tumblrs in another account and link those sites to a different PBN site….keep going until you have 10 links to each site.

      2. I do 1 link from each web 2/PBN site to my money sites. I don’t link from the same web 2/PBN site to money sites that are on the same server.
